Some Like it Hot

Joe (Tony Curtis) and Jerry (Jack Lemmon) witness the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. They have to get out of Chicago before “Spats” Colombo (George Raft) finds them. The only job that will pay their way is an all girl band. Joe and Jerry become Josephine and Daphne and join the band. In addition to hiding, each has his own problems; One falls for another band member and the other has a rich suitor who will not take “No”, for an answer.

Some Like It Hot was nominated for six Academy Awards, Orry-Kelly won for Best Costume Design (Black and White). The American Film Institute listed Some Like It Hot on their “100 Years… 100 Movies”.

Released in 1959. Black and White, 121 minutes.
