Wait Until Dark

Susy (Audrey Hepburn) is newlywed and newly blinded. Criminals invade her life, posing as a variety of people, in a desperate search for a doll. Despite her disability, Susy finds the courage, strength, and wisdom to even the odds and overcome her assailants.

Released in 1967. Color, 108 minutes.

To immerse viewers in the suspense of the climactic scene, movie theater owners dimmed their lights to the legal limits, and then turned them off, one by one until the audiences were in complete darkness. (We will not be using this effect.) Audrey Hepburn was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

October 3, 2023 – 6:30pm – Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall.
